Aliska was born in 1988, from a family of Khanty reindeer herdsmen in Western Siberia. Access to the area for foreign visitors was strictly restricted. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the world opened up to this girl, grand-daughter of a Khanty shaman. Our film follows her walking the shopping malls of Budapest and the streets in a run-down Siberian oil city, and spending the summer in the family's wooden hut on the remote, mosquito-ridden Taiga. Is it possible to stay the "same" in such different worlds?
