Kovaa ja korkealta laulava mummokuoro hyökkää päälle heti alkuun, turhia nuukailematta. Äänet ovat elämän karaistamia, mutta kokonaissoundi on – kuten usein näissä tapauksissa – värisyttävän jylhä. Länsi-Siperiassa Tšeljabinskin alueella asuvat nagaibakit ovat ortodoksisia tataareja, mutta heidän arkaaisempi musiikkiperinteensä poikkeaa varsin paljon esim. Volgan tataareista. Vastapainoa kuorolaulun hartaalle lyyrisyydelle tuo taas eläväinen haitariperinne, jonka piilevä riehakkuus pääsee irti viimeistään Kasselin haitariorkesterin uralilaisissa tansseissa.
