Resumo.
Abstract. ... The purpouse [i.e. purpose] of the present research was to learn and record the process of transmittal of musical knowledge at the drum's section of Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel samba school. ... The main conclusions I came to, lead to the apprenticeship and the transmittal of knowledge of drum as part of the social experience of the community. It is part of the entire social activity. ... The transmition [i.e. transmission] happens naturally from one player to another in the search of models through imitation, repetition and collective social creation.
